I agree. Not to mention, and I am making some assumptions here, four double-spacced pages is two pages of writing. When was this assigned? If it was assigned on or before Tuesday of the same week this kid deserves a failing grade for even acting so unmotivated. Tell him to go take a 300-level math course, this kid would be writing similar emails on a daily basis.
I understand the sentiment, but just judging the subject line, I can’t take you seriously.
Judging by this person’s poor spelling, I doubt your professor will take this request seriously, either.
