I Now Know What It Feels Like to be Robbed

And it really makes me want to find the guy and well…the interweb is publics so I will keep my thoughts to myself since finding the man is unlikely. The hotel parking lot, adjacent to both the hotel and the Ford center, home of the Thunder, has no cameras. The following was stolen:

  • Mac Book Pro
  • Asus Eee PC
  • 3 Software books and my marked up copy of Godel, Escher Bach (this I am really upset about)
  • The bag all of this was in
  • My extra iphone, doubling as an ipod touch for the moment, which was in the center console

So after filing the police report and reporting it to the insurance, I realised the silver lining: State Farm is now buying me an iPad (or well paying me back for the one I just ordered, plus some. As for why I finally went for the iPad. I could list my reasons now. I suspect I will have more when it arrives so I will refrain until then.

P.S. For those of you who know I am driving cross country by arrives I mean it gets shipped to my step brother who will bring it to me when I get to California so it won’t be until the end of May.

P.P.S. They were nice enough to leave the car in tact (no slashed tires or missing hub caps). They also left my golf clubs and were nice enough to leave Nola her food and treats.

P.P.P.S this is why I backup my data
